I'm looking for self-motivated and hard-working students who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering and who would like to conduct research related to real-time embedded systems, cyber-physical systems, and intelligent transportation systems. If you are genuinely interested in working with me, please send me an email with some basic information such as past research/projects and GRE scores, as well as explanations on why you are interesting in joining my group.
Our group is located at the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, Virginia. Compared to Blacksburg, Arlington is more metropolitan and has a much higher cost of living due to its proximity to Washington DC. Whether you would prefer living in Arlington or Blacksburg would depend on what you look for in terms of graduate student life. However, if you want to work with me, you must be willing to live in Arlington. In addition to the VT Research Center, Virginia Tech also has a graduate-only Northern Virginia Campus (NVC) located in Falls Church where classes are taught. Many classes are also offered online from Blacksburg.
